Opinion: Sea Level Rise Is A Crisis. Let the Public Vote.

Sea level rise is a fact and indeed it is proving to be a stubborn thing. As a journalist, I have covered this environmental phenomenon for decades. I have interviewed leading scientists and engineers all over the country. The data is overwhelming.

The Great Experiment

Is it safe to go out? Is it safe for the restaurant or the hair salon to open?

I don’t know, and neither do you. Neither does Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Donald Trump, Gov. Ron DeSantis, or the Key Biscayne Village Council.

But I can tell you this – we’ll find out damn soon because the incubation period is typically five days.

The Next Virus: Anger

We are beyond exposed, our emotions are actively infected, and I suspect the pathology is following what some psychologists call the “Kübler-Ross model,” or the five stages of grief.
